PEACE TRACKS

ABBA, Angélique Kidjo, Anoushka Shankar, A.R. Rahman, Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath), Melissa Auf der Maur, Roger Taylor (Duran Duran) and Philip Glass

"Musicians from around the world collaborated and built upon contributions from high-profile recording artists in this innovative global initiative that aims to bridge the divide between different cultures and countries through music."

Abba have contributed with samples of SOS intro and "Soldiers" drums . two masterpieces of work of art , the samples are very different from the mood of the original (SOS being more J .S .Bach atmosphere and the paranoia of soldiers ) but it is fine for it's made for something mostly important , the war around the globe since more than 50 years , where a war is taking place  around the world each time there is peace elsewhere !

Something’s Going On box deluxe limited edition

first
is this news or deluxe really ???
no exclusive release in this !
no demo nor rarety !!
no previously unreleased video !!
is this because the Frida box set 4CD+ DVD has been deleted ?
how this release can be celebration ?
second
are only 2000 frida fans among the Abba fans
what I'm sure is that lot of new fans are not anymore because of Frida and Benny attitude towards fans (not releasing anything new or new bad things and keeping gems in the vaults)

lundi 29 juin 2015

in memory of Rutger Gunnarsson

bass magnificent riffs of
"Nina pretty ballerina"
"shine"
and many others
the most iconic Abba musician
wrote the string arrangement for "my love my life"
and" the album" entirely

all the albums of Abba and you can guess when he's not on the track , because bass line is not as inventive as his .
he's one of the musicians responsible  for the thrill of Abba songs along with Sven olof walldoff and Lasse Wellander

Matterhorn, 1865 - Dan Daniell feat. Frida (Hörprobe)

to be honest if it wasn't for our Frida I wouldn't have give a listen to the song but Frida shines on it !
you can enjoy her voice , unlike the "tired" voice on 'Morning has broken' !
thank  you stingy Frida !

try to be like Agnetha and deliver us an entire album because you're losing clearly against agnetha in the Arm wrestling !! (i'm joking of course !)

Waterloo Knowing my fate isn't with you

"The song isn't about the Battle of Waterloo and we don't want the record to be part of the exhibition. It gives the wrong signals... Waterloo is a pop song about someone meeting their own Waterloo. It is not about the battle."  that's what the members of Abba respond to the quite risky invitation to celebrate the 200 years ago battle .
it seems that the organisation seem quite to take for granted history! even if Waterloo these days refers for most people to the song , the song is not about the historical event so it's all wrong.
the celebrators seem even to have a grudge around the group by correcting them by saying it's not the defeat of napoleon but to the latin world and french people it's a synonym of defeat !!!

the Abba response is completely justified do journalists get info before they cut and paste assertions without  researching why ?
do they know how Swedish journalists welcomed the members of the group (in 1974) by accusing them of having fun of a battle of thousands of dead soldiers even if the song isn't a bout the historical event and just a metaphoric allusion to the facts !
